Just say some recipes for granola bars on one of the threads. I am interested in trying these as my kids do like them and they are a little pricey when it comes to buying them. I was wondering what else can you do with Oat Bran or Wheat Germ??? I dont like to get items like that unless I know of at least another recipe that I can use them for.

I add a 1/2 cup of bran to my pancakes every time I make them for a little extra fiber . Wheat germ works just as well too.

Wheat germ is good sprinkled on yogurt, or put in the blender with smoothies.

I broke down and bought some wheat germ a while back (it was between $3-4!!) and now I sneak it into everything I can. The other day I made pancakes, and put a few Tbls. in the batter, and yesterday I made REAL banana bread and put about 4Tbls. in that. No one in my house ever knows the difference! You can add it to anything you bake (cookies, cake, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, the list is endless, really) or sneak it into yogart, smoothies, oatmeal...Seems like there's always a way to incorporate it into a recipe. It's really healthy...Vit. E and Folic Acid...And best of all...it doesn't change the taste of what you're making!! HTH!!

I take equal amounts of wheat germ, honey, and peanut butter, mix and put on apple slices. It ups the fiber content of the apples and makes for a great snack for kids. Of course, be careful of choking hazards and no honey for babies!!!
