I am in NEED of chocolate of some sort or I will be strandling everyone around me. I have a box of family size brownie mix but I DO NOT want to turn on the oven. Anyone know how to make brownies in the crock pot?? I have a few other items that I could throw in too; mini m&M's, 1/2 container of caramel apple dip, two milk chocolate bars. I just have a round and a larger oval crock pot, but no pans/steamer type things to use. I have never done any dessert in a crock pot before.

I have tried it, and honestly it takes forever and it didn't taste all that great. Do you have a toaster off that lets off less heat? Good luck I hope you get your fix.

NO, I dont have a toaster oven. Had one years ago but never used it. Think I just threw it a way.
I think I am gonna have to break down and bake them in the oven.
THANK YOU

you could modify this recipe w/what you have........

1/4 c melted butter
1 c chopped pecans
1 family-size package brownie mix(mix as directed)

Pour melted butter into 2-pound coffee can; swirl to coat bottom and sides well. Sprinkle with half of the chopped pecans. Mix brownies according to the package directions, stirring in remaining chopped pecans.

Pour batter into the coffee can. Place can in slow cooker. Cover top of can with 8 paper towels. Cover and bake on HIGH for 3 hours. Do not check or remove cover til 45 to 60 minutes. Remove can,let stand 5 minutes. Then unmold.

I couldnt stand it any longer!! They are in the oven as I type. I just made the boxy mix and swirled the caramel in. I cant wait. It will make the house a little hot, but for the safety of the family, they had to be made.
