I LOVE to entertain and love when we all gather in the kitchen while I'm cooking (holidays, parties, etc). The more the merrier IMO....and if ya help me out ~ all the better!

We have a larger more open kitchen now so there is room for more than one person to move around in there w/ out bumping into one another. This has turned out to be a good thing though b/c my kids are really starting to get the cooking/baking bug.

My kitchen is quite large, so many people "fit" into where ever they want to be. I am a little picky about the process of food I prepare- because I am a chef. My mom asks me what she can "prep" for me when i am cooking at my house- she knows how I like things to be cut up and so forth. I shouldn't be so picky- it's kind of sad, but going to cullinary school changes the way a person feels about food, food preparation and food consumption. Don't get me wrong, I am not a snob in any way! I hope it doesn't come off as if I am here! Any one can join me in the kitchen...I just have a way of doing things when I prepare food and not everyone understands that. When i go to other peoples homes to cook I don't even think twice about asking if I can help- and I certainly don't tell them how to cook in their house! My mom and SIL and I enjoy cooking together! It's kind of a family thing...even my DD1 loves to get involved.

My dream is a LARGE kitchen. Right now ours is so tiny that DH and I have a hard time cooking in there at the same time. I would love nothing more than to get my kids more involved in cooking/baking, but I cant stand bumping into everyone and everything. I could live (although grumpily) with a small bedroom, but I NEED a larger kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What great family time.
