I am so sorry to hear this not sure your thoughts on this "New" Family but that was really wrong of them to not let you know or include his Childern in on this do they not relize that is really a huge thing to happen they really should have thought for 2 seconds about if they were in your shoes how they would feel?
Again I am sorry that is so not a way you should have found out and not even get to be there/invited to say your Good-Bye's
