I do two things with them: I make them like spaghetti (they are the noodles) where I pour sauce over it after stringing it (don't know if that is the correct term) or I will half them, put them in a baking pan, put some butter and seasonings on them and bake them like a sweet potato. They are good either way. I got those ideas from my WW friends so I can't say they are my original ideas, but I have liked them that way.

How do you cook them, and how long?

For the "spaghetti" I just put them in a pan and bake them at 350 until they appear done. Usually half an hour? I honestly don't remember. I spray those with olive oil, too.

The other, same thing, until they are done at 350. I honestly don't remember as I just check them every 15 minutes or so. I think it is 30 minutes.

I've cut them in half, lengthwise, put them cut side down on a cookie sheet and baked them in the oven at 350 until I could easily pierce them with a fork. It took awhile, 30-60 mins (I can't remember how long).

Then, flip them over, use a fork to pull out the strings. I like them with seasonings, butter, etc.

I cut mine in half, cleanout the seeds, then place them face down in a plate. I add a tiny bit of water, cover over with saran, and bake in the microwave for 10 minutes. PERFECT.

I wonder if you could use those new Ziploc Steam bags....Or would the squash be too big?

I either put them in the oven cut in half (length wise) for 30 minutes at 350 with butter and seasonings or you can cut them in half (length wise) and put them in the microwave for 6 minutes or so (skin side down) and then put the strings away with a fork. Anyway I do it - it's a favorite in our house!!

I made a spaghetti squash casserole Wednesday night for dinner... it was AWESOME! I am posting the recipes in casseroles as soon as I submit this.
