I have never made them but I have seen them in magazines.They would use pizza sauce on the bun and do onions,green peppers,bacon and I forget what else.The cheese was mozzarella.I have also seen the veggies diced up small and added into the burger and had the sauce on the bun and cheese melted.

and any sauteed veggies you want.......mushrooms,green pepper and onions are big here.

The one I had was like a tenderloin or a flattened cube steak that was breaded and fried then had melted mozzeralla on it. I'm trying to figure out what seasoning was in the breading besides flour. It tasted like oregano was in it as well.

Pizza Burger-serves 2

1/2 lb hamburger
2 tablespoons Parmesean cheese
2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons black olives, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup catsup
slices of mozzerla cheese
Hamburger buns

Toast buns. Combine all the ingredients together (except for buns ). Spread mixture evenly over buns. Broil 5" from heat for 8 minutes or until done. Add cheese and broil until cheese is melted.
