it is going to be a family pizza party night tonight. I make mini-crusts and put out a bunch of toppings that I know my family likes and everyone sort of makes their own. This got me to wondering what other peoples favorite toppings are.

Do any of you have a favorite type of pizza that is a little different? It's not on all of the menus in every pizza joint in the USA?

Do you like a plain pizza with just cheese and one topping, or do you like to load it to the hilt?

Do you like a little sauce, a LOT of sauce or just an average amount?

Do you use "italian cheeses/pizza cheeses" or do you use other kinds as well?

Do you like thin, hand tossed or thick and bready crust?

Do you eat the crusts, will your kids eat their crusts?

Do you use any type of dipping sauces (we use garlic butter, kind of like papajohns)?



My family LOVES pizza party night here! We try to do it once a month. We usually put out black olives, ham/canadian bacon, pepparoni, three or four different types of cheese, pineapple, green peppers, onions (for DH), pickles, red peppers, sun dried tomatoes (from the freezer) and DD1 and my favorite is all of the "fresh/frozen" herbs like basil, oregano, cilantro.

I like a little sauce,Dh likes a lot.I add olive oil to the crust first and brush it in,then add sauce and spread it around then sprinkle it heavy with basil.

Do you use "italian cheeses/pizza cheeses" or do you use other kinds as well?
I use plain mozzarella cheese.

Do you like thin, hand tossed or thick and bready crust?
Thin crusts.

Do you eat the crusts, will your kids eat their crusts?
We all eat the crust except for DS 7.

Do you use any type of dipping sauces (we use garlic butter, kind of like papajohns)?
We make the garlic butter one you get at Papa Johns and drizzle it over our pizza slices and then dip the crust in it too.So good!

We do this with our crust too! It is sooooo yummy that way. I use olive oil and Extra Virgin Olive oil for almost everything! We also put basil on all of our pizzas. My DD's both LOVE IT and I can't get enough of it!

We make garlic butter like Papa John's as well! Isn't it the best?

we like
sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, candian bacon, pineapple sometimes salami.

Matthew and DH like hamburger, sausage and pineapple. Brandon and I eat the mushrooms, black olives and pineapple. All of us love extra cheese!

Thegirls like plain old cheese or they like Fresh tomato!!

I like Pineapple, green peppers,Broccoli or Fresh tomatos!! (all at onve or even seperate!!)

dh like a meat loaded pizza!! (the girls and I are vegetarian)

I like crust that is hand tossed( not thick or thin) youngest likes hers thin! oldest could care less!! dh likes thin!

That is one of dh's faves. I like chicken & shrooms or else just veggies--either a combo of black olives, onions, peppers, & shrooms.
