Have you ever had one? How did you do it? What worked, what would you change?

Please share! I am thinking of trying to organize one for this fall and am looking for tips.

I love progressive dinner parties!!! They can be so much fun.

We did one at Christmas except it was more desserts than anything! On base where everyone lives within five steps from one another, about six couples got together and did this. One couple served drinks. Another couple served small appetizers. One couple served drinks again, Then a dessert and then I believe another dessert! It was fun.

I did, however, want to do a thanksgiving one where each home prepared a dish to eat for Thanksgiving. It does take a lot of coordinating...but it can be fun!

Are you going to host one?

They can be a lot of fun! We've done it a few of times...just like Christy described, you move from one home to another for different courses. We did do one that was wine tasting one, so we had a different wine and "heavy" appetizer at each house.
