Has anyone ever eaten a Pawpaw? Pawpaw Fruit

I didn't even know they existed. My Dh is now on a mission to grow them.

I've heard of them but I've never had one...

My dad loved those things and I hated them. To me they taste like a really, really over ripe banana.

I've never heard of anyone trying to grow them. I know when we were kids, we would always have to go with my dad to hunt them. They grow wild in the woods and you don't pick the ones on the trees, you pick the ones that have fallen.
