I won't post something that I haven't tried, because if someone makes that recipe, it sucks and they know I am the one that posted it- then why would they ever want a recipe of mine again??? I know everyone has different "tastes" in what they like and don't like...I just post what my family and I like.
My thoughts exactly! I only post recipes I've tried.

I post recipe that we have tried on liked and are keepers to make again. If it is a new recipe and we think it was ok but will not make it again I will not post it cause I don't want someone to make it and think the same thing and be disapointed.

Would there by anyway of making our recipe section like "All Recipes" website? They have the recipes and then people can write comments or rate them with stars after they try them.

We should keep in mind that just because someone likes a recipe doesn't mean that everyone will. It's a pretty subjective thing.

Okay....let me address this since I think I have been a key player in this part of the board that alot of people have questioned along the way anyway...

Personally....when it comes to my posted recipes I've either made them or ate them.

But when it comes down to me trying a new recipe...weather or not the person who POSTED it ever actually made it is,for me anyway, frankly irrelevant.

Peoples idea of a 5 star meal GREATLY vary.I think pineapple on a pizza is just flat WRONG-dh loves it....go figure.

Whoever said browsing this part of the board is like flipping through a cookbook was absolutely CORRECT...IT IS....go through it with what your family likes in mind...if you are unsure of something ASK...send a P.M. to the poster....I've answered a MILLION questions though p.m. and in the recipe threads.

Also CHECK YOUR INGREDIENTS!!!If you are baking something...double check the dates on baking soda and baking powders...NO they are not good for 5 years same thing w/crisco and such.

Also...YOU ~CAN~ RATE THE RECIPES YOU HAVE TRIED HERE!!!!When you go back to the posted recipe look in the blue bar above the recipe and look for the "rate thread"option and click it it gives you a drop down box to pick like 1-5 stars.

And you can always leave notes...what could be added,if you think it needs LESS of something, anything.Ideas to change it completely.

I am really REALLY excited about this part of the board...I love to cook!!!That's no secret and I have made some absolutely WONDERFUL friends here and it has been so fun to see this part of the board really going full speed ahead - I think RyansMom and Kellynkay are just the ultimate mods for this forum.....and its fun to see so many new people posting recipes..... hats off to you Lainey.

I have never ever NOT answered a p.m.....so if you have a question-I'm there .
