This weeks holiday are:
National Apple Dumpling Day--September 17
National Butterscotch Pudding Day--September 19
International Banana Festival--September 21
And foods celebrated the ~entire month~ of September:
All American Breakfast Month--September 1-30
Better Breakfast Month--September 1-30
National Chicken Month--September 1-30
National Papaya Month--September 1-30
National Honey Month--September 1-30
Some ideas for this weeks holidays are:

Apple Pie w/Mt. Dew
1 Granny Smith Apple
1 Can Crescent Rolls
1 Stick Butter Or Margarine
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
6 Oz. Mountain Dew
Apple Pie Spice
Peel And Cut Apple Into 8 Wedges. Unroll And Divide Crescent Rolls.
Place 1 Apple Wedge On Each Roll. In A Microwavable Bowl, Place Butter
And Sugar, Microwave Until Butter Is Melted. Place 1 Tbs. Of
Butter/sugar Mixture On Apple, And Sprinkle With Apple Pie Spice, To
Taste. Roll Up Apple In Crescent Roll And Place In A 8x8 Square Baking
Dish. Pour Butter/sugar Mixture On Top Of The Rolls. Pour Mountain Dew
Over Rolls. Bake At 350 Degrees For 30 Minutes.
Or do something a lil more creative w/butterscoth pudding and try hope2...
Taffy Apple Salad
1 lrg tub cool whip
1 sm box butterscotch pudding,
6-8 apples cored and cubed
1 sm can crushed pineapple, drained...
mix the dry pudding into the cool whip, mix the apples and the drained
pineapple together (helps with browing too) then toss together...
or YUM...how about Deemom's
Banana Bars
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c margarine
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
3 bananas, mashed
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 c fllour
cream margarine and sugar, then beat in eggs and sour cream.
Add bananas and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Bake 375
25 minutes in greased and floured 10x15 pan.
Frosting: combine
3 oz pkg cream cheese
3/4 stick margarine
2 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla 1 T mlk

Creamy Green Chili Cajun Chicken
2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Cajun Seasoning (homemade or store bought)
1 can Low Fat Cream of Chicken Soup 1/2 c. Water
4 oz. can Diced Green Chilies
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
1/4 c. Low Fat Sour Cream
3 oz Cream Cheese
Hot Cooked Rice
Coat chicken generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat a bit of olive oil in
a skillet and add chicken. Cook until no longer pink over medium/low heat.
Combine soup, water, green chilies and lemon juice. Pour over chicken and
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over low for 10 minutes.
Stir in sour cream and cream cheese and heat through until cheese is melted.
Serve over hot rice.
