So, I have a 1/2 gallon of milk that went sour on me. Shouldn't surprise me; I got it on "Manager's Special" and then it sit for two days. So I really can't blame the store, beside the fact that it was a whole $.50. So, anyway, is there anything that sour milk is useful for or should I just trash it?

Well, obviously it is not good for drinking anymore. But I wonder if you cant use it for baking maybe. I know that when I make banana bread or cake, that I put some vinegar in the milk to make it curdle. Both recipes call for buttermilk, but I never buy it. I have always just done the milk and vinegar thing to make it.
It be worth looking up on the internet.

I agree with araefin. I have a Chocolate Zucchini Cake recipe that calls specifically for sour milk. ~ so there are probably more out there.

I wonder if I can freeze it and then take some out to use when I would bake something like that???

If it's just a 1/2 gallon, and you've already used some, there's probably just enough to bake something with it - like biscuits that call for buttermilk - but I don't know if freezing it would work. I guess maybe it would be just like freezing regular milk? I don't know, but I think I'd go ahead and try to use it up to make pancakes or biscuits (or whatever) and maybe freeze those if you need to. Anything to save time later! Don't waste it, though. As long as it's not TOO far gone, add some vinegar (I think it's 1 Tbls. per cup?) and make buttermilk out of it!
