I used to be a Kraft Mac & Cheese snob...but I have found the the Target brand tastes EXACTLY the same.

I think that we also have discovered that I am a HEINZ Ketchup gal

Everything else can be generic as far as I am concerned (at least that I have found so far).

I dont think I have any favorites with generic. I buy a lot of Our Family (store brand-is that generic??) a lot. It is a lot cheaper and tastes the same. I know that so far the only generic that I have bought was some stuffing once. It was horrible-gritty. So since than I only but Stove Top. Sometimes, I am not brave enough to try all generics, I will still only but Kraft mac and cheese. It just depends on the product. For example, I have bought generic bread only to have it mold after 3-4 days. Well, where was the savings there?? I had to go back the the store and get more bread.

I buy a lot of both. I buy what ever I get cheaper- using coupons, sales or Sam's club- Sam's has a lot of good deals on name brand. I do have three or four things that I REFUSE to buy generic of, but most stuff can go either way. I had the same problem with certain stores and the generic bread as araefinn. I have purchaced it a few different times and it doesn't last 1/2 as long- I've tried two different "generic" bread brands and I don't think I'll buy them again...BUT I have found that the Sam's club "generic" bread is good. I have never had a problem with it.

I buy both. but there just some things that I use name brand, Heinz ketchup, campbells tomato and chicken noodle soups, I prefer nam brand cereal but my kids don't much care, Hidden Valley ranch is my preferance, Pepsi is also one, I also like name brand canned veggies. Usually it is Kraft mac & cheese but I will buy generic everyonce in a while.

I try to buy generic whenever I can, but for some reason I have a mental block on buying store brands on a few weird things - have to buy Jiffy peanut butter, Land O Lakes cheese deli cheese (orange cheese and cheese in the individual wrappers bug me lol) and Ovaltine for chocolate milk...other than those I couldn't care less.

I try and buy gen. as much as possible.. milk, bread, formula, yogurt and baby wipes are a few. Target has the best baby wipes. And walmarts parents choice is great formula. and 1/2 the price. I have also used store brand diapers.. some work better than others. Some items i just love.. tide detergent, deli meat, charmin toliet paper and kraft mac and cheese. I stock up when these are on sale and i have coupons.

We go back and forth. Whatever we can get the cheapest by the shelf price, sales, coupons, etc., that's what we'll go with. I can't think of anything that we have to have a certain brand for.

the only thing I can think of that I always buy name brand is peanut butter, cause I had a bad experience with Western Family. I don't care which name brand though,.

For the most part we buy generics/store brands. There are a few things that we prefer to be name brand: DH will only eat Kraft mac & cheese; I only drink Diet Coke; other than that, I think that's it!
