Alot of you have mentioned buying a whole chicken and using whats left for other dinners. How big of a chicken do you normally buy to get more dinners out of it? My first dinner would be roast chicken. After that its chicken ala king, then the chicken is gone.

I buy at least a 4lb chicken...any smaller than that, doesn't work for more than one meal in this house. Just depends on your family though!

Your third meal would be a soup, you take all of the bones and boil it to make your chicken broth. Then you can make chicken noolde soup or I use my chicken broth for potato cheese soup or chicken veg soup. You could also make chicken lemon rice soup or won ton soup or egg drop soup or chicken and dumpligns
