Well, I'll be making homemade candies and lots of cookies to give away to some of our neighbors and the kids teacher, their principal, and the school secretary. Plus, I make HUGE platters of cookies and tins of fudge, and buckeyes, for Brian to take to some of his clients!! Here is my list of cookies and/or candy I make or try to make each year:

COOKIES-

chocolate chip
snickerdoodles
sugar cut outs
peanut butter blossom
pecan puffs (similar to Mexican Wedding Cake cookies)
candy cane cookies ("Santa's" favorite, so they don't get made until Christmas Eve-a double batch)
chocolate snow top cookies
"whoopie pies"

CANDY-

choc. fudge (with and without nuts)
peanut butter fudge
choc. covered pretzels
buckeyes
caramels
choc. caramels
hard tack candy (not sure I'll make it this year)
popcorn balls (red & green)

I'll make homemade pumpkin pies for our neighbor, and another couple friend of ours. I'll probably make some bar cookies, so my best friend can send them to her stepson who is currently serving in Iraq. I usually make buckeyes and the choc. covered pretzels, the week following Thanksgiving, usually when Brian's out hunting, and the kids are in school.
