Has anyone else already started thinking about or planning what they want to bake or make this holiday season?

I've started thinking about it, I will probably start buying next payday (10-15). I have to make trays to give out to about 20 trays (I just had a panic attack when I figured out how many!!) I try and make inexpensive items, since I have to give out so many. I am going to make my cookie dough now and freeze it. I'll make sugar cookie, snickerdoodles, and chocolate chip. I will make soda cracker candy, fudge, peanut clusters, choclate covered pretzelsand puppy chow. I will make banana nut bread (Giada from the foodnetwork had a wonderful sounding banana nut muffix recipe w/ cream chees & marscipone (sp?) icing I'm going to try and convert to a loaf), pumkin bread. Any leftover almond bark makes the little candy molds.

I have never really done much in the way of holiday baking. Sometimes I make sugar cookies and the kids decorate them.

~Happiness is a large family~

In the past I've made LOTS of cookies and given them away. However, most of the family is trying to watch their weight so I stopped. I bake chocolate chip and sugar cookies for decorating. I will most likely make pumpkin pie for my hubby soon.

I have 4 batches already baked and in the freezer

I don't tend to bake too many ~ usually for a cookie exchange I do, Christmas eve, and a few baskets to give the neighbors.

Lemon bark

Simply lemon heads smashed then gently folded into melted white chocolate and the npoured out on cookie sheets until hard.

My sister and I get together 2 saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas and make:

frosted sour cream sugar cookies - 4 double batches
Chex mix
Puppy chow
chocolate dipped pretzel rods
Peppermint bark
almond bark
lemon bark
white chocolate, marshmallows, peanut clusters
Butter ball cookies
gingerbread houses (the kids decorate at our family christmas)
divinity

My mom makes a fruit cake, that is really no cake, just the gooey good stuff... I will try to find that recipe to post..

I will try the lemon bark, sounds very different. Can you tell me how you do the chocolate and marshmallows?

I have a variety of easy treats to make for gift bags if need be.

Other than that, We love to make piles of sugar cookies and Swedish pepparkokar (like gingerbread) cookies to decorate and share.

I have started to bought the stuff but I don't start baking until Nov. I start with bread banna, zuccice (sp), amish, and pumkin. I do one or two a week and freeze them, then three days before christmas I make plates for the neighbors.
