I have been thinking about this and I think I could.I Use it mostly for making ramen noodles for the kids or defrosting meat.Dh uses it for coffe but he could heat it up in the coffee pot.

I would have to get in the habit of taking the meat out the night before and putting it in the fridge and making ramen noodles on the stove.I am thinking about not replacing this microwave when it goes.

What do you ladies think?

Mine broke last week and I ordered on off the internet. It took about a week for it to get here. I can say we wouldn't die without one, but it was pretty miserable. I use mine a lot and can't tell you how many trips I made over to the spot that my microwave used to be with my dish in hand only to find it not there. I love my microwave. The one we just bought is really big, big enough to unthaw family packs of meat without it getting stuck like our old one. I never want to be w/o it again.

Well...funny you should ask...I'll have to say yes I could. Our microwave broke and I thought at first I'd go nuts. But then the longer we went, the less I missed it. We actually went about 6 months without one before we got a replacement and by then I didn't really care that much. The only thing we really missed was microwave popcorn.

I could, but it would make life more complicated. I never remember to defrost meat ahead of time and it is awfully handy for heating things. The kids can even use it themselves. So, yeah, I could surrvive quite nicely without one, but I sure would not want to.

I definitely could. Yes, it is a quick answer to reheating, etc, but with eight of us in my house, meals almost HAVE to be cooked the old fashioned way! I don't do a lot of instant anything...need too much to use those little packs! That said...if I had a CHOICE, I would DEFINITELY choose to KEEP it!!

I think we could, I really just use it to thaw meat, heat mini pizzas for DS and warm milk for DS. if we had to, we could live without it.

I think we could. we really only use it for reheating and popcorn, oh and baby food. that would be a pain. But we could adjust. I'm not volunteering to give mine away though!! LOL!!
