I got the angel food for the first time and it has some breaded chicken and it says to deep fry it - it's uncooked. We don't have a deep fryer and although I'm assuming that also means you can just put it in a pan with a lot of oil, I was wondering if you can bake it instead and if so at what temp for how long? If not, how do I deep fry it in a regular old pan???

thanks!

Sure...you can just brown it in oil on the stovetop in a frypan with some oil and then bake it until it's completely cooked inside (it will brown more in the oven). You can either use a frypan or electric skillet or if you want more oil than you can fit safely in a frypan, just use a bigger/deeper pot like a stock pot or pasta pot. You could 'deep fry' that way as well, just don't ever leave it unattended.

You can also just cook it entirely in a frypan or electric skillet with oil, and just keep turning the pieces.

As for time, I really go by eyeballing it...do you have a meat thermometer?
