I bought buttermilk to make a birthday cake and am wondering if I can freeze the leftovers to use later. This should work, shouldn't it?

Yeah - it should. But I believe it only stays "good" frozen for about 3 months. Also depending on how much you have left, I would suggest freezing it in smaller quantities (say ice cube tray amounts) so the you can pull out what you need when you need it. instead of trying to thaw the whole thing. I wouldn't suggest refreezing it again ~ yanno?
