Ok I don't know if this is the right place to be posting this or not but here it goes. My husband is allergic to something in onions and everytime he eats onion he is sick. Meaning on the toilet. My question is does anyone know of anything that you can take so it will not mess with you if you we're to eat it. He likes onion but it just don't like him. I hope I can get some help on this.

I'm allergic to them, too, and never realized it until I was like 26. I just always got sick, since it's in so many things. However, I can do salsa because the acid in the lemon and tomato helps with the onion - but I can't overdo it or I do get the breathing issues. I just have to avoid them or I'm stuck using Benadryl to help with the hives and swelling in my throat.
