When making a pumpkin pie can you just use pumpkin pie spice instead of the nutmeg, cloves etc. I wasnt sure if you could and if so how much should I use?

Thanks!

If you add up the amount of nutmeg, cloves etc... and use that amount alltogether for your pumpkin pie spice, it should turn out fine.

Edited to add that I am substiting like that for my pumpkin bread all the time. Sometimes when I am using a new recipe I look at it and think, well this doesn't even call for cinnamon, it should have cinnamon. And I add it. But it is easy to vary the seasonings in pumpkin bread.
