Loss leaders are the really great deals that most stores advertise in thier flyers. They get into the stores to buy the great deals, and hope you will buy other things while you are there. That is the trick to saving $$ DO NOT buy anything else. I take competiters ads to wal-mart and they match prices, so I'm not tempted to buy anything at the more expensive stores.

They are usually the items on the end caps of the aisles -- although at our store this week they had a huge buy 12 for $12 (dont have to buy 12 though) sale - so a LOT of things were $1 each, most way below (by 50% or more) regular price -- some just 30c below regular price. You have to know your store, watch the sales and definelty know how much things cost at regular price, use your coupons and determine if its a good sale.
