What tips do you all have for keeping baked cookies soft after they defrost? Mine seem to get a little dry/hard once I defrost them. I usually only have them froze for about a month or so, so I do not think that they dry out because they have been frozen too long.

I dont have that problem but you could always toss in a piece...or even a 1/2 of bread.

None

I always think that mine do the same. I do think that some freeze better than others ~ but they always seem off to me.

I have just come to the conclusion that nothing is as nice as fresh baked, so I just bake closer to the holiday (or right before I give them away).

I have not done it but a friend of mine has.She would take a small cup and put a little bit of water in it and put it off to the side of the microwave and put how many cookies you want on a paper towel and heat them up for how ever many seconds you want to and it makes them soft again. She said this works with muffins too.
