CROCK POT TURKEY AND DRESSING

2 Cups turkey meat cooked and cut in small pieces

9x13 pan of corn bread, this makes 2 quarts, crumble this up after cooled

add 2 T of sage to cornbread after crumbled

diced onion, use any amount to your taste ( I cook the onion in butter before adding to this, to make sure it is cooked and tender

2 hard boiled eggs, diced

3 to 4 cups chicken broth

1 stick melted butter of margarine

1 can soup of your choice, cream of celery or cream of mushroom or cream of chicken (I used 2 cans of cream of celery, one can on the bottom and the other can on the top)

Layer starting with one can of soup on the bottom, than turkey, dressing, butter, eggs, and onion, making 2 layers and than I finish with another can of soup on the top. Cook on slow for 3 hours. Than stir before serving. Oh so good. You will need a large crock pot for this one.

This would be nice after you have had chicken and use left overs too.

sounds yummy, all the good stuff, thanks for sharing!

I'm already starting to get creative. Today I made BBQ turkey sandwiches, I shredded a bunch of turkey with my fingers and mixed it with BBQ sauce in a bowl (it's like those tubs of BBQ meat you can buy for $$). We warmed it up and put it on a deli roll, yum!

I'll also make turkey curry this week (like from Bridget Jones, her mum's annual turkey curry party, hee hee). Just add curry paste and coconut milk, potatoes, carrots and onoins. I've done it in the crock pot too, to let it simmer. Serve over rice (we do brown, curry is so saucy that you barely notice).

Trying to think of new uses for all of this turkey!!
