I am!!

I have gotten my peanut clusters and peanut brittle done but that's it.

Kids are out of school today so we will be in the kitchen ~ We have Spritz, Monster cookies, and Rice Krispie treats to go. I think that we will be baking this morning and then delivering them out to the neighbors this afternoon.

Anyone else still have baking to do?

I still have a few things to make.. I put it off so I wouldn't eat it all before the parties... I also have to make another triple batch of chex mix, since ours is gone...

I am going to make:

white chocolate, rice krispie, marshmallow, peanut butter clusters...

chocolate-butterscotch nut clusters

rice krispie treat wreath (add green food coloring to marshmallow, shape in a circle on plate, top with a few red hots) looks festive!

I worked today and I am pooped, so I will wait until tomorrow. I will do some more cookies, probably only 6 dozen. Than Sunday, I will finish up everything else. Than I am done. For Christmas I am not doing too many appetizers. They are all pretty easy ones.

I still have to start. I am doing it Sat and Sunday. I think I am going to make sugar cookies (cut out), white choc, macadama nut, oatmeal rasin choc chip, and choc mint chip ones.

I decided this year not to do big cookie trays like I used to. Basically because everyone we know is dieting (myself included) and are not eating that stuff. Dh will eat it but it will last Forever. To be honest, I don't really enjoy doing it when there's that pressure anyway. As any mom knows, time is precious and I didn't feel like having my hard work and beautiful cookies go in the trash. I must admit, I've done that if no one likes the cookies we're given or it just sits here and no one eats it - I pitch it eventually. I just didn't want my hard work and money to be thrown away.

However, I did make some sugar cookie dough yesterday that is chilling in the fridge. Tomorrow ds and I are making cutouts. I have a really nice sprinkle selection so I'm looking forward to doing that with ds. I'm glad I'm making only one kind this year!

As far as candy, I *might* make some chocolate covered oreos with crushed peppermints on top. If I have the time. If not, I guess I'll forgo that too.

I am because "someone" left the lid to the cookie container off - the dog got it off the table and ate 3 dozen Chocolate and Mint Chip cookies (made with Andes candies) 2 dozen Peanut Butter Blossoms, and 2 dozen Chocolate Chocolate chip with Macademia nuts.

I haven't even started. I'll probably be at it all weekend but only because I chose to finish my shopping the past 2 days. I'd much rather spend my weekend at home baking than at the mall with everyone else!
