This is actually a really great recipe...cause you can do alot with it !!!

3/4 c sugar
1/2 c rice vinegar
1/4 c ketchup
2 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tbs grated fresh ginger
1 Tbs cornstarch
2 cloves garlic, minced

Just mix all and let it boil for a while til it slightly thickens.

You can use it as a basting sauce for pork and chicken(deliscious on both ...just start basting towrds the end of cook time-kinda reminds ya of a sweet style bbq sauce almost-only w/a twist)

I also totally love egg rolls this is also great as a dipping sauce for those!!

my husband and dd like it over broccoli and rice and I believe this is also one of the sauces he likes w/salmon.

Asian Noodles (even kids like these)

1 (16oz)pkg fresh linguini
1/4 c finely shredded carrot(opt but I like it and it adds to the visual )
6 cloves garlic, minced
4 Tbs sugar
3 Tbs canola or peanut oil
5 Tbs rice vinegar
5 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs sesame oil
1 1/2-2 tsp chili paste
6 green onions, sliced thin on diagnol
1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

Boil pasta 8 to 10 min, drain, and transfer to a serving bowl.

Over med-high heat. Stir in garlic, sugar, oil, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, til sugar dissolves.

Pour sauce over linguine, and toss to coat. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

You can do this hot or cold.......either way its really good

I make asian chicken that is awesome....it makes for a killer salad with dressing....

3 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbs minced fresh ginger root
1/2 c olive oil
1/4 c sesame oil
1/3 c rice vinegar
1/4 c low sodium soy sauce
3 Tbs clover honey (if you dont have honey you can sub 2 Tbs sugar)
1/4 c water

Mix all in a big jar,or whatever and shake really well.....then microwave about a minute to disolve the sugar or honey(I prefer the honey...but its great either way )then re shake well and chill........seriously.....awesome stuff!!!
