Do you have anything special planned for New Years Eve or day? I never know what to make or plan on the menu. We don't do anything ~ yet it seems like it should be somewhat fun.

This year DH volunteered for the later shift since we aren't going out ~ so I am thinking make your own pizza's for dinner and then popcorn and movie night until the kids fall asleep. New Year's Day I think we are just gonna snack it all day ~ salami & cheese, "football finger food" appetizers, etc...

Oooo ~ or maybe a big crock of something warm ??

We always do New Years eve. I make a chocolate or cheese fondue after dinner then After the kids go to bed, dh & I have a big candlelight seafood dinner. Snow crab legs, steamed shrimp, fish, crab cakes yummy. Then some wine or this year hot chocolate with butter schnapps while we ring in the new year.

my best tip for sauerkraut....squeeze,rinse well and resqueeze...not as "sour-ey"

Not sure what we will do, but we always have grapes and champagne at midnight. You're supposed to eat 12 grapes for the 12 months or something... Dh's tradition...lol

My family always had a rule about not eating chicken on New Year, it was bad luck...they always have some kind of pork or ham.

I am coming to your house! We love seafood!

We will probably have a small shrimp plate and appetizers that night and the next day I am thinking that we will make pizzas. We used to go to my parents on News Years Day and have Prime Rib but now that they moved we will have to start our own tradition.

We don't do anything special. Maybe we will order pizza since it is payday!

I've been thinking about this today too, but never thought about tomorrow. Something in the crockpot does sound good for tomorrow. I think we will have White Enchillada Casserole tonight. It is sooo yummy!
