I want to use up the "bootleg" m&m's that we all got in our stockings from my MIL so I was thinking of making cookies. My question is should I use a chocolate chip cookie recipe and substitue the candy or use a sugar cookie recipe and just add the candy?

I would vote for Chocolate chip also...

another option would be Monster Cookies or add them to an Oatmeal recipe
