I am going to try to stick with $400 including all of our non-food items. I will post again when I go shopping next. Probably Wednesday or Thursday. I stocked up pretty good before new years.

I am not kidding when I say this but I am going to try and shoot for $150. I am doing the Spending freeze and are car is in the shop so we are forking out the money for the deductible....So here is what I got so far:

1/2
1 Gallon of Milk, Garlic Toast, Bread and 1.3 lb Chunk of Cheese
$10.81

1/5
1 Gallon of milk and box pancake mix
$4.19

Total so far:$15.00

I just took an inventory of what I got and really think that I can do this!

My budget is $320/month.
I would like to spend $30 of that on meat (I stockplie clearance meat, g turkey and chicken when it goes on sale), and $15/week at farmer's market for produce ($60/month) so that leaves $230 for all other food and non food items, about $57/week.
I'd like to stick to this every month from now on, I can't forsee being able to spend less because of the amount of fresh foods we eat and we don't eat processed foods with corn syrup or hydrogenated oils.
I'm determined to do this!

We will be doing this every month from now on.I hope to get mine down more too.

Do you get fresh produce all year around at the farmers market? Here vegetables are so expensive in the winter.I have to buy them in the grocery store.

You eat so many veggies I can't wait to see what all you get for you money.I also buy alot of meat marked down.Save's me alot of money.

I'm going to go for $400 this month, including pet & household items. I got groceries last week and spent 133.77; so that leaves me with 266.23 to go the rest of the month. I am planning on going to Sam's Club this week, to stock up on the few items I know I can get cheaper than buying at Kroger. Toward the end of the month, I'll probably have to get creative though. Milk is getting so high here, as well as fresh produce. Makes me wish I'd have had more time to take better care of the garden last summer. I didn't get a thing canned or frozen, like I normally do!
