I know, how hard can nachos be? Take some chips, cheese, maybe some meat and then there you go! I am making tacos for Wednesday nights dinner and am also planing to do nachos for me and kids on Friday night. I thought it would be a fun dinner; nachos, rent a movie, popcorn. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Oh my kids love my Nachos. As a matter of fact, I made them Nachos for dinner last night. I spread chips on a plate, then I make the beans a tad runny (not too much), and spread them on top, then I get the Tostitos cheese sauce and melt it for about 30 seconds in the microwave and spread that on top of the beans, splash some salsa on top of them, then layer with some chopped tomatoes, olives, green onions and shredded lettuce and a dallop of sour cream on top. That made me hungry just listing it out.

LOL, That made me hungry just reading it!
I love nachos! I don't like anchovies, but if you like them, i don't think it would be a bad combo, though i've never tried it.

I line a baking sheet with aluminum foil then I pile on chips, seasoned taco meat, plenty of shredded cheese and I top that with chopped onion, jalapenos, and sliced black olives. I bake it in the oven until the cheese is good and melted. Then we all sit around and eat them right off of the tray and dip in sour cream, or salsa or guacamole~whatever each of us prefer. Everyone always LOVES it when I make nachos!

I make the taco meat.I take some chips and then add meat, con caqso(sp?)cheese that has been heated up,sour cream, salsa, tomatoes,I already add in green pepper and onions when I cook the taco meat.I don't care for it raw.If I have avacodo's I make gucamole too.
Have fun making them and let us know how they turn out.Good Luck!

taco chips on bottom - my boys love the Frito Scoops
taco meat or chili (I even cheat sometimes and use canned chili)
shredded cheddar cheese
taco sauce
salsa
sour cream
We just had this for dinner last night with the canned chili!

I make nacho's when I don't want to cook. I take chips put them on a plate, I'll sprinkle w/ taco meat if I have any. Then I sprinkle generously w/ cheese, nuke for about 30-45 second and voila!! Supper is ready.

Ok, I've never even thought of making nachos for dinner. You ladies are brilliant. I will be trying this next week.
