i love it! i was trying to decide what to make for dinner, and decided on lasagna. within 20 minutes, i had prepared the lasagna in the crock pot, and now all i have to do is wait till this evening, and dinner is done! without the crockpot, i would have had to stand around boiling the noodles, preheat the oven, then drain the noodles and make the lasagna, and put it in the oven, and keep an eye on it. with the crock pot, my day is so much easier.

I agree with you, the crockpot is awesome! I make so many meals in mine, and it is so nice to come home to dinner ready!

how do you make lasagna in the crockpot. You don't have to boil the noodles first? My whole life could change here..

the noodles cook in the crock pot. they're in for a long time. just google a crock pot lasagna recipe, and try one that sounds good.
my noodles came out a little blah. i think i should have added more sauce, cuz i think most of it got absorbed into the noodles and cheese. maybe a half cup of water would balance it out. and i have a General Electric slowcooker, so the "low" setting isn't very low. it took maybe about 3-4 hours to cook. still, it was an easy, good meal, and sometimes that's all that matters.

This is the recipe I use:

Crockpot Lasagna

1 medium sized onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced (I used jarred)
1.25 pounds ground turkey or ground beef
0.25 pounds italian sausage, broken up
1 tsp. dried oregano
0.5 tsp salt (I did not use)
0.25 tsp black pepper
1 - 15 oz container low fat ricotta
1 cup mozzarella or italian blend cheese, shredded
12 lasagna noodles (12), broken in half
1 - 26 oz jar tomato sauce

1) In non-stick skillet, cook onions and garlic over medium high heat for 4 minutes or until softened. Add turkey or beef and sausage, breaking up large chunks. Cook for 6 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain fat. Season with oregano, salt and pepper. Set aside.

2) In a small bowl, combine ricotta and 0.5 cup of the shredded cheese.

3) in a 5-6 qt crockpot, layer half the uncooked noodles, overlapping as necessary. Spread half of the meat mixture over the noodles and top with half the tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water. Gently spread ricotta mixture on top, and continue layering the remaining noodles, meat, sauce and an additional 1/4 cup water.

4) Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 5 hours. Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese for last 15 minutes of cooking time.
