I think that we are having an Easter dinner/ds#2's bday party all the same day. We will actually do ours on Saturday as some out of town family will be heading home late in the morning on Sunday. We are just now figuring out what we will do.

Ham-one family has volunteered to make
Turkey-I have a gift certificate for a free 20lb Butterball. I have to use it up by May and as of right now, I already have a turkey in my freezer.
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Sweet potato casserole (m2m's recipe)-I have been told I HAVE to make it.
fruit salad-super easy; cool whip, sliced bananas, grapes, mandarin oranges, chopped apples
rainbow fruit delight-recipe posted

That is all I know that we are making as of right now. I am sure we will have some munchie type food too. Last year I baked a cake, cut and decorated it into the shape of a bunny head. Dont think I will do that this year. Looking for some ideas for an Easter theme treat. We will of course have a regular cake for ds#2 for his birthday.

I have an Easter baby also, she will be 5 this year! When she was 2 years old, her birthday was on Easter. This year, I'm having her party on her birthday this year which is the 27th.

My husband indicated that he is hungry for ham. We will do an early supper (4ish). The usual is ham, mashed potatoes, baked corn, salad. My MIL always brings deviled eggs (and a ton of candy-uggg). I don't know what I'll make for dessert.

This year I think we will have a late lunch/early dinner. I'll probably get the ham in the oven right after church, and while it cooks we can do our egg hunt etc. I am going to make some snacks like veggies and dip, shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers and deviled eggs for all of us to munch on before dinner. For dinner we will have:
Baked, glazed spiral cut ham
mashed potatoes
corn
asparagus
fruit salad
I'm not sure about dessert yet!

I love Easter!! My family will be here and DH's are invited as well if they come. It's the only holiday I get to do because others insist on doing Thanksgiving and Christmas their way at their houses.

So far here's what I think:

Ham
Turkey (DH wants to deep fry it)
Cheesy hash brown potato casserole
Salad of some kind
Deviled eggs
Fruit
Pistachio Marshmallow salad (not sure what it is called by DS loves it. It has cool whip, crushed pineapple, walnuts, mini marshmallows and the dry pistachio pudding all mixed together)
Coconut cake

My family will all bring things as well. We may have to expand the menu some if DH's sister comes because her family is vegetarian and I want to make sure they have plenty to choose from also.

this year i think we are going to grill out if the weather is decent enough and have the in-laws over i hate eating at mils she overcooks everything and dries it all out.. so we are going to try to get them all to come here for once wish me luck otherwise we will just grill out ourselves and go for a visit later in the day.

My MIL is the same way. My husband always begs me to cook.

we're doing a barbecue with family at our house. my dh's family never did anything for Easter when he was growing up, and i think that's a shame. i'm hoping to start a tradition with this year.

For Easter we usually do a small glazed ham and a larger roast, corn, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, spinach sauteed in garlic and oil, green beans (sometiems plain, sometimes in as GB casserole) and for dessert there's usually pumpkin pie and apple pie with ice cream.

I'm thinking for dessert this year we might make M&M bars with the Easter colored ones.
