I've had my Rival crockpot for 8 years (the one with the removable stoneware) and the last 2 times I've made a roast it doesn't get cooked in 8 hrs and the vegies are crunchy I know it is heating up because the outer shell is warm to the touch but maybe it is losing heat elsewhere??? Is it time to get a new one or ???

You could email the company maybe?

I have had mine for over 11 years and it's fine, knock on wood!

That sounds risky to me, because you don't know for sure that the meat is being maintained at a high enough temperature throughout the cooking process. I would definitely contact the company about it. They might not consider it their problem after 8 years, but you never know.

I've had mine for about 12 years with no problems so far...

The lid on my mom's crockpot warped and it started letting the heat out of the top. Can you tell if you lid no longer fits the same?

Mine stopped heating up well just like that after about 8-10 years. Veggies were crunchy. We just figured the heating element was wearing out & then we noticed scorch marks on the counter under it. So we tossed it & got a new one and it's WAY more powerful.
