I feel so stupid and I am also so mad at myself. I bought two dozen eggs on Friday and forgot to bring them inside the house. So for almost five days my eggs were in the van, in the seat next to me and I never noticed them. Only reason why I finally figured out what I did is because I was going to make breakfast burritos and hot pockets today to freeze. So, are they still good, or do I just toss them out??? The weather here has been chilly and my van is under a carpot 90% of the time. Tell what you think.

If you decide to toss them, which I might but they would have frozen in my car, remember it being so close to Easter that there are tons of crafts that you could do with them right now! The other day I saw this cute garland made of eggs. It was adorable but I couldn't imagine wasting so many eggs to make it! But you have an excuse!

You can try the floater test - put them in a glass of water (I think it's supposed to be cool), and if the egg floats, it's bad. If it sinks, it's still good. It's a neat little trick, and I've not known it to be wrong.

If the temp was the same outside and it would have been in your ref. they probably are ok. I would break one open and check.

Believe me if they are spoiled, you will be able to tell real quick!

I would float test them all, just in case. Not that it does any damage to them LOL! Just because I had a friend do it who had iffy eggs, and she had some floaters and some sinkers. "Hovering" eggs should be used within a day.

Your eggs are perfectly okay to use.
