I am having a heck of a time coming up with menus. I am ok on the nights that I am home and can cook, but on the nights I work and dh has to cook, I have to come up with super easy things. He has already melted the plastic lid to my NEW cake pan because I had it in the oven and he didnt check to see if anything was in there before he preheated it!! I have always kept things in the oven. Any pan that he uses, I have to scrub and soak it at least over night because he burns everything to it.
3/1-Creamy chicken and noodles, salad
3/2-pizza, breadsticks, carrot and celery sticks
3/3-cp cubed steaks, mashed potatoes and green beans
3/4-taco johns (had a p/t conference than had to go shopping for new shoes for the boys)
3/5-lo creamy chicken and noodles, biscuits. dh works late, so he will probably eat lo pizza
3/6-fish sticks and mac and cheese-I work late
3/7-Betty Crocker Complete meals-I work late so dh is gonna try to make one of these.
3/8-dont know yet. I work until 7, so maybe something in the cp CP meatloat, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie.
3/9-I work but I do not know what shift yet. Cheeseburgers and tator tots.
Should find out next weeks work schedule by Thursday, so between that and the grocery store ads, I will have to wait and see.

I am sorry your husband melted the lid to your can pan. That stinks
What about doing a couple meals a week in the crockpot for him and the kids and it would be ready for when it is dinner time?Or how about making something ahead of time and he only had to take portions out and heat it up?

I had been doing that. I totally dropped the ball on it about a week ago. I was just getting worn out doing that plus working 33 plus hours. I need to check out the crock pot and freezer threads here some more to find more recipes for them for when I am gone.

Here is what he can do:
mac and cheese
chicken strips, fish sticks, or chicken patties
french fries or tator tots
Canned soups or ramen noodles
Grilled cheese-next time he does those, I will make him use the sandwich maker as this was one of the things he cooked and ended up burning a few.
Cooking casseroles that I put together for him
Hamburger Helper
scrambled eggs and toast
frozen pizzas or hot pockets
instant mashed potatoes and probably stuffing
Sorry to take over this thread with my cooking challenged dh. Thanks for the help!
