CARAMEL MORSEL BARS
1 (14 oz.) bag or 49 caramels
3 Tbsp. water
5 c. crisp rice cereal or toasted oat cereal (I use rice cereal)
1 c. peanuts (I chop to course in nut chopper)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
-Melt caramels with water in saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until sauce is smooth.
-Pour over cereal and nuts; toss until well coated.
-With greased fingers, press mixture into greased 13x9 in. baking pan.
-Sprinkle morsels (chips) on top, place in 200 degree oven for 5 mins; or until morsels soften.
-Spread morsels until blended to form a frosting. Cool, cut into bars.

Ok girls I know we all make a ton of things using Cool Whip.. What are they?
Lemon Whippersnaper Cookies
1 pkg Lemon supreme cake mix
1 egg
2 cups cool whip (8oz)
Combine all, drop by teaspoon into powered sugar, roll to coat, place 1/2 inch apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes.
*** these have a WEIRD texture when they are dough... light and airy, but they are wonderful.
Cool Whip Fluff
1 tub cool whip
1 box anykind of jello
1 can fruit, drained
mix dry jello into cool whip, add fruit..
Our favorite:
Lemon jello, pineapple, coconut, mandrine oranges.
Ok I will stop now and give you girls a chance to post more wonderful recipes.. Cookies, Cassarolls, chocolate...

[quote=mommy2mercedes;578658]Cabbage & Pineapple Jello Salad???.........gag...that sounds yucko!!(like something my Grandma might've tried forcing me to eat when I was little )
Actually it's not too bad. My In-laws made it at Easter and served it with cream cheese balls rolled in pecans ~ my kids gobbled it up!

Just like carrots ~ shredded finely. Don't know why they use cabbage, you really can't taste it? I am guessing it's my FIL ~ maybe didn't like carrots???

(noone loves cantaloupe like my Grandma!!!)
3 eggs, beaten
1 c vegetable oil
2 c sugar
3 ttsp vanilla extract
1 cantaloupe, cut into 2in chunks and pureed(approx 2 c of puree-you can also pulse to leave a little texture)
3 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 c chopped walnuts (opt)
Mix eggs, oil, sugar an vanilla, then add pureed cantaloupe.
Sift dry ingredients then add to wet.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 9x5 loaf pans.
Bake 325 for 1 hour,til done.
Check after 50 minutes.
*NOTE*
These are good....kinda like a toss between carrot cake and banana bread.
also, depending on the size of your melon you MAY only need a 1/2.
