Default Dandelion greens????

Has any one cooked or tasted Dandelion greens? I saw the greens last week at a local grocers. My flower bed is full of them - I was wondering if I can cut and cook them. Any ideas???

They are a little on the bitter side. If you cook them, I'd do them like other greens - maybe steam them but with a bit of maybe raspberry vinegar to sweeten them up. In salads, I would put them as an ingredient in a mixed salad as opposed to a salad entirely of dandelion greens, because of their bitterness. My next door neighbor while growing up used to use them. My understanding is that they were brought here by immigrants from europe because it was a common food.

I have never ate them myself, but I had a great uncle that work make wine and jam/jelly out of them.
