Carryout pizza. We did this earlier this month, but it's my birthday and I don't want to cook, lol.

Happy Birthday chickyhip!

Breakfast: waffles, fruit
Lunch: Chicken nuggets and mac n cheese for the kids, sandwich for me
Dinner: Open faced hot turkey sandwiches with gravy over toast and corn.

It's pretty nice here so I couldn't resist buying some pansies to plant in a container for the front porch. I also got some strawberry plants, but I am going to keep them inside for now!
Have a great weekend everyone!

BLT's (made home-made bread today, and kroger had tomatoes on the vine for 99cents/lb) and I already had the bacon, (we buy 1/2 a hog from some friends of ours every year), and some corn.

I know it would taste so much better with fresh tomatoes and corn on the cob, from the garden but...*sigh*...got a little while yet so until then

We are using some more things up from the freezer and pantry for dinner today.

We are having nacho's.I have a bag of scoop chips that need to be used up,I will add some onion to the meat while I am browning it up and I found a can of Herdez Salsa Verde Mexican Picante in the pantry I got and was going to use for something and never did and I like to add in a 1/2 can of refried beans in the taco meat too to make it stretch farther.I take the rest of the refried beans and put in a baggy and freeze them for nacho or soup another time.

We will top them with some sour cream, cheese and Dakota(Our 12 year old)is going to help me make some Guacamole oh yes and have salsa and tomatoes to top them too.A little bit of everything.Should be good!

Lunch was 2 cans of soup I have had in the pantry for awhile.I added to the pot a can of chicken tortilla soup,a can of chicken sausage gumbo and cut up some smoked sausage and added in a couple cups of beef broth and it came out wonderful. So nice to use up things in the pantry!!!Love it!!!
