Default Do you wish someone would tell you what to make for dinner?

Sometimes I get burnt out on coming up with an idea for dinner. I don't have anything on the menu for tonight. I could make several different things with what I have on hand. I'm thankful to have plenty of food but can't decide what to make...

YES! I hate deciding what to make. When I have a menu planned out, I feel sooo much better about making dinner.

my Mom calls me sometimes and will ask..."what do I want for dinner today?"

I think life just gets hectic...it's easy to get in a rut...we make what we know how to...if you have a bigger family you tend to repeat things that EVERYONE will eat to avoid making 3 diff meals etc.

This is why I love the daily dinner threads-with people replying to it w/diff tastes/weather/states etc....its a great simple thread that can really give you alot of ideas.

also ...just for an idea....browse the dinner challenge thread...or any recipe threads and click the rating button....and challenge yourself to try something new that others have already tried and love!

my dh is the pickiest eater ever (and my ds and I like everything) so it makes it very challenging for variety! So, if I ask him to give me an answer it'll always be "a burger is fine with me"

I will ask at the beginning of the week what dh wants for supper, before I plan my grocery list, etc. and he usually says, "whatever". Then some days I will say would you like this or that? And he says, "they both sound good." I've even "yelled" at him for this, lol. (good-natured)

LOL! My husband's answer is always, 'I don't care, everything you make is good'. That is so nice but not helpful.

I ended up making Baked Ziti and corn

Thanks for the suggestions mommy2mercedes.
