Since dh hates mac and cheese, I eat mine with pinto beans, cornbread and onion. Which he also hates pinto beans.

I thought DH was so weird when he put tuna into the kraft m&c dinner. It tasted good, but it was just a little odd to me. It's good to see that other people do that too! I don't really ever make mac & cheese, but if I do, it is a side dish, and it is on a lazy day - like when we eat hot dogs or grilled sandwiches or something like that. My mom loves my baked mac & cheese, I made some just for her one time, and I can't stand it, lol. It think it's just one of those comfort foods for her.

I have had it with salmon patties and cole slaw too.

I think it is a good combo

Gosh, that's too bad. Mine loves it and likes the southern veggies as well. I will do mac & cheese, stewed okra or stewed cabbage, pinto beans and cornbread.

I always liked peas and carrots or just carrot sticks with my mac & cheese. Dh doesn't care too much for peas or okra, for that matter.

When my kids were little it was always nuggets or hamburger mixed in.

Now I'm hungry.

I have served mac and cheese with sausage, hamburgers, hotdogs (can cut and mix in), pork chops. Have mixed in hamburger with it. Could really be served with just about anything

I fixed a new recipe last night:

Shells
Cheese
Evap Milk
Canned Corn
Canned Green Beans
Can of Tuna

cook shells, mix in other ingredients, bake at 300 for 20 min. It was really good although next time I will cook my green beans with my noodles for a few b/c I dont like them too crunchy.

The recipe said you could use tuna or salman.
