Either homemade or boxed, what else do you serve with it?? If I am doing just the boxed stuff, I will do: cut up hot dogs, frozen fish or chicken strips or other easy things. If I make homemade I will do something like homemade cornflake chicken strips, fried chicken, cp meatloaf-something that is really filling.
I want to try out a new mac and cheese recipe and I was looking for something to make with it. I finally found and bumped my grilled salmon recipe and was thinking of making the two on the same night. Is that a gross mixture-grilled salmon and homemade mac and cheese???? Here is the salmon that I am going to make with it.

I don't make boxed...

When we have mac & cheese, I sometimes just serve it with a fresh salad and it's a whole meal. More often than not though, it's a side dish for almost anything - chicken, fish, beef.

I make both kinds. I will serve hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken strips, nuggets, fish, vegetables such as corn, peas. My DD likes to mix in mixed vegs.

It is usually just a side dish. I wish I could only serve homemade, but I haven't found a recipe they like much yet. So, I pretty much try to avoid mac and cheese. When I do buy it, it is a side dish with whatever meat we are eating. I have added sliced fried hotdogs too it.
When I make it homemade it is usually the main dish.

I use it as a side quite often with pork chops, peas and applesauce. Also, we mix hamburger into it and eat it with a side veggie.

I just didnt know if homemade mac and cheese and salmon sounded good together. I think I will give it a try. I really need to use up some cheese before it goes bad on me.

When we have salmon patties, we always have macaroni and cheese.
I also will add tuna to the macaroni and cheese.

My kids love taco mac. Just fry up 1lb of ground beef and add taco seasoning and mix it all together. I serve it with salad and Texas toast.
