So what have you used as "bread" crumbs besides actual bread crumbs? I like to use crackers or cereal that nobody is eating, put them in the food processor and get them real fine or sometimes with a slight crunch still in them. Yesterday I used Special K that was open but nobody wanted it anymore. Nobody knew it was Special K. Ive used corn flakes too. Or crackers - the kids love that especially. I hate to throw food away and this is one little way I can use up stuff that nobody wants anymore.

Have you used anything else?

I use saltines in my meatballs.

Something else I saw in a recipe once was crushed goldfish crackers to coat chicken.
