My oldest DD loves to watch Rachel Ray cook. I can take her in small amounts but she really is too perky and has such a squeaky voice that it's too much for me to watch her for very long.

I have always thought that the garbage bowl is ridiculous. Our trash gets taken out daily so everything goes straight into it.

The reason some people will pay 14.99 for a garbage bowl from Rachel Ray is because it has her name attacted to it.

If she was marking a "gold turd", people would buy it if she endorsed it.

Why I don't know, i have never watched her daytime talk show, becuase I couldn't never stand to watch her cooking shows.

First of all her jabering and making up words, drives me wild. And her pushing her hair out of her face/eyes, and then start back cooking without washing her hands, is nasty.

I have always used a wall mart plastic bag for my garbage, where ever I am cooking a loop the handle over the door knob and off I go!

Yes, I'm not saying I don't like her, I just think to advertise something as silly as a garbage bowl is just crazy. What's the point if you have to wash the thing when you're done with it. I like her 30-minute meals, and have also used some of her tips in my own kitchen. She does get annoying at times, but that's when the remote comes very handy and I can just flip the channel. But I suppose there are many many many out there who do go out and buy the bowl.

We could start an entire thread on loving or hating RR couldn't we! I used to love her, but now I find her demining and full of herself. Calling her fans, "kids" and she's not a "bakin' kinda girl" gets annoying. One time I was cranky and DD said mom go turn on the TV and make fun of RR that puts you in a good mood, takes the pressure off her I guess! LOL.

They actually make a RR Garbage Bowl???? Marketing is ridiculous.

I have a countertop compost can that I use as a countertop garbage can and empty every night into the big kitchen can.

I can't believe there is actually an official "garbage bowl". I also use a grocery bag on the counter. I do think it saves time not having to reach for the garbage, just tossing it in a pile on the bag. I also do this so that if there's garlic or onions I can take it straight out to the trash and it doesn't stink up my kitchen.
RR throws dirty dishes and recyclables into the garbage bowl too, so you'd have to sort that out in addition to washing the bowl. My way's better.
