Ok I was going to make some homemade frosting today since I don't feel like going to the store. But every recipe I find that has all of the ingredients that I have on hand asks for sifted powdered sugar.
I don't have a sifter. So can I still use the recipe? If not, does anyone have a recipe for homemade frosting without powdered sugar?

Thanks in advance!

Oh yes you can still make that frosting recipe. What I do and it saves me from having another gadget is I take a hand wisk and wisk the powder sugar.Works the same way.

Good luck with your new recipe.

Pretty much all a sifter does it makes it fluffy and lighter. I remember watching Martha stewart "sifting" flour with a wisk.use it for Powdered sugar it works!

You can run it thru a wire sieve/strainer too...that's what I do often with flour and sugar. I just find it works better for me.
