I made shrimp jambalaya, double recipe, so a lot, and it's too spicy. Is there anything I can do or add?

Not that this will help you now, but when I make jambalaya from a box I also add one cup of regular brown rice to it, during the cooking stage.

I think it may help A LITTLE but then again the seasonings weren't cooked with it, so it still might be spicy. Im sorry Im not much help. I haven't ever added regular rice after jambabyla was done so I'm not sure.

All I can think of is mixing it with sour cream when you eat it, that might help to cool it down. I would also try adding more rice to spread it out. Other than that, eat it soon, the spice will grow!

I do have sour cream, so will try that and you're right, the longer it sits..the hotter it'll get. I think most mild salsas are too hot..what was I thinking!

Milk-based things cut the spices. We use plain yogurt when that happens to us.
