an unopened jar of mayo that had best by feb 2008 on it?

It was hiding in my cupboards....

to throw or not to throw??

If it looks okay, smells okay, isn't watery or discolored, I'd probably eat it. Mayo is tricky but if it's unopened and sealed it can be fine past it's due date.

I'd give it a try....it'll prob be ok...but Id use it all fast,like in mac or potato salad.

I would probably open it and see if it looked okay and smelled okay. If it does, go for it.

I would at least open it smell it, and if it didn't stink taste it. They have to be careful with expiration dates. Febuary wasn't that long ago. Now if you had already opened it, I would say throw it out.
If it tastes fine, use it something that will take most of it. Like potato salad, chicken salad, a chocolate mayo cake.

I will open it and at least smell it, if nothing else I can give it to the dog on her dry food ;-)
