I just boiled up a chicken and I was going to make stock....

But I forgot to remove the paper-absorbent-thing that comes in the chicken packaging. So that got all boiled up, too, and there and pieces of it still in the pot. Is it ok if I just strain the pieces out, or would that thing somehow contaminate the broth?
