Ramen Slaw

(I usually double or triple this recipe because it goes FAST!)

1 bag coleslaw mix
2/3 c. sliced almonds ( I usually leave these out because the sunflower seeds are enough)
3.75 oz. bag sunflower seeds
1 pkg beef ramen noodles really crushed up

mix all of the above

dressing: ( don't put on until about 30-45 minutes before ready to serve)
1/3 c. cider vinegar
ramon noodle seasoning packet
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil ( I have done it with veg. oil, olive oil, sunflower oil , or a mix of all 3 - it tastes good either way.

i am having my neice a graduation party at our house, and we are having a cookout!

I also went to the $tree and bought hawai stuff, so that is going to be my theme.

I am having pineapple chicken, fruit salad, baked beans, etc...

We are having one for my dss and dsd (they are twins) but not until July and I haven't decided exactly what our menu will be yet.

Great ideas hope2! We are having a memorial day party and it is also my DH's 40th birthday. We are going to have a cookout too, so our menu so far is:

Burgers: turkey burgers and beef burgers
Hot dogs and bratwurst
crockpot baked beans
macaroni salad and potato salad
pasta salad
chips n dip
sliced fruit
veggies w/ dip
assorted cheeses
beer and wine coolers
shrimp, iced with cocktail sauce
mini crabcakes
Big sheet cake from Costco that says "Happy 40th!"

Every graduation party I've been to has had a cold cut tray and a relish tray along with sides like cole slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad. Then cake for dessert. You could use this as a start and even branch out and do fried chicken or other picnic type foods.
