Because we eat / drink them too fast!

Milk -- I think in the entire 11 years that my husband and I have been together we let one gallon of milk go bad. And we were out of town for a large part of that time.

Peanut butter -- though truthfully I never realized that even went bad until I was looking at this jar today. Though usually I buy the stuff that they grind at the store and that isn't ever dated.

I did not know peanut butter went bad.I keep a jar around for a couple years. My kids don't like it on sandwiches so I only use it for baking and they are fine with that.

I cant think of anything that goes bad in my fridge. Once in a while leftovers, but very rarely. Maybe chips, but we arent big chip eaters so it is hard to finish off a bag before they go stale.

I agree with milk & peanut butter!

I think the only thing that does go bad occasionally is fresh fruit.

I'd have to say milk, cheese, ranch dressing and orange juice. We go thru tons of those.
