Except for during the summer, my baking day is usually Sunday. I have been making bread, muffins and a big meal. I love the baking but hate washing the dishes! I'm baking today because it is the only cool day this week. The bread maker doesn't make it too hot in the kitchen so I will continue that for summer. Today I'm making muffins, bread and chocolate chip cookies. I am donating the cookies for preschool commencement.

Do you have a baking day?

Most of my baking is at Xmas. I could not bake on a weekly basis as we have enough weight issues as it is. The last thing we need are carbs.

We eat the same amount of carbs but we don't eat as much processed food. For example, I make 100% whole wheat bread, sliced thin for lunches. We eat the muffins for breakfast instead of cereal. They are not the ginormous muffins that you buy at the grocery store so it is about the same calories as cereal.

Well, I eat a high protein low sugar cereal, IF I eat cereal at all. Normally I go with something w/ more protein for breakfast because of insulin issues. Sugar/carbs are bad for me. We don't do much by way of processed foods. I do buy bread but it's whole wheat/low sugar/hi protein bread as well. My DH is a baked food fanatic and if I baked small muffins well, 6 would be his breakfast and he'd have another 6 for lunch....

No doubt. My hubby is like that with cookies. I usually only make them for school and holidays.

I bake whenever the mood strikes. I never make my own bread though. I prefer store bought and it takes too long. I am not a real schedule type of person

In my perfect world I would have a baking day. But I'm really not scheduled enough to do that. It also is really tough for me to bake once the hot weather starts up.

I've never been a baker, although I love to cook. I want to find a bread machine this summer and make my own bread. I think it would be a good start! I also would love to make muffins and waffles to freeze for breakfasts. Great idea skiimommy to have a "baking" day!

I tend to bake on weekends, because that's when I'm home from work and have time to spend baking.

I tend to make cookies or brownies, even the occasional cobbler.
